A Peg in His Place

A Peg in His Place

When God starts to do a wonderful work for His people, sometimes the enemy is nearer than we think. Come on a journey with Pastor Daniel to a time when God’s work was nearly ruined by the mistakes of the leaders, and the heart-wrenching decisions they had to make to get back on track. Listen as God’s Word appeals to our hearts to dedicate our lives fully to Christ–even in the face of the most difficult decisions.

This week’s message concludes our 4-part series from the book of Ezra. This message was recorded along the Eagle Falls Trail in McCreary County, Kentucky, featuring spectacular views of Cumberland Falls and Eagle Falls.

Here are the lyrics to the hymn medley that Kristina plays during the message: O To Be Like Thee! and I Surrender All.

Oh! to be like Thee, blessed Redeemer,
This is my constant longing and prayer;
Gladly I’ll forfeit all of earth’s treasures,
Jesus, Thy perfect likeness to wear.

Oh! to be like Thee, oh! to be like Thee,
Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

Oh! to be like Thee, full of compassion,
Loving, forgiving, tender and kind,
Helping the helpless, cheering the fainting,
Seeking the wand’ring sinner to find.

Oh! to be like Thee, oh! to be like Thee,
Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

Oh! to be like Thee, while I am pleading,
Pour out Thy Spirit, fill with Thy love,
Make me a temple meet for Thy dwelling,
Fit me for life and Heaven above.

Oh! to be like Thee, oh! to be like Thee,
Blessed Redeemer, pure as Thou art;
Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give;
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Humbly at His feet I bow,
Worldly pleasures all forsaken;
Take me, Jesus, take me now.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

All to Jesus I surrender;
Now I feel the sacred flame.
O the joy of full salvation!
Glory, glory, to His name!

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

I surrender all, I surrender all;
All to Thee, my blessed Savior,
I surrender all.

Come in Thy sweetness, come in Thy fullness;
Stamp Thine own image deep on my heart.

A Nail Upon the Wall

Lord, make me a nail upon the wall,
Fastened securely in its place.
Then from this thing so common and so small
Hang a bright Picture of Thy Face
That travelers may pause to look upon
The Loveliness depicted there,
And passing on their weary ways,
Each radiant face may bear
stamped so that nothing can efface—
The image of Thy Glory and Thy Grace.

Lord, let not one soul think of me.
Only let me be a nail upon the wall,
holding Thy Picture in its place.
