Recently Removed Posts

Recently I have expressed some controversial views on my Facebook page and in my blog, in regards to recent events and the global conversations on social justice, race, immigration, and the rise of Christian Nationalism. I’ve been saddened and surprised by the reactions I’ve received. It was never my intention for my Facebook page to become a public forum for warring Christians! I’ve realized that having these conversations publicly is not always conducive to civil discourse or to the advancement of the cause of ministry in my local churches. I have made the decision to remove a number of potentially controversial posts from my social media and blog, in conversation also with one of our local conference leaders who I had the privilege of speaking with today. I still firmly believe that every human being is an equally valuable child of God, regardless of their gender, the color of their skin or the language they speak, but I feel it will be more productive to have these conversations in a smaller and safer venue where we can work to better foster trust and mutual respect. I will focus my social media presence on sharing my photography of God’s beautiful creation and other uplifting themes.
