Merry Christmas 2025
Dear Family & Friends
Greetings from North Carolina! We pray that this letter finds you in good health–both physically and spiritually. We are one year closer to the soon return of Jesus, and this brings us hope and joy! While we long to be in our heavenly home, we also desire that as many as possible will be there with us. This gives us the energy to keep spreading the wonderful news of the gospel to everyone we meet.

God has truly blessed us this year and we are grateful! We are thankful for health: we’ve experienced very little sickness this year, and Kristina has been able to manage her chronic health issues through natural means: healthy diet, exercise, and massage. Kristina is working as a part-time secretary at the conference office, in addition to volunteering with the church ministry, teaching piano, studying, and traveling. She also has helped with music at several conference events at Nosoca Pines Ranch. Even with a full schedule, her health has remained strong.
Our church members have been so sweet–being our family while we are away from family. This October marked one year since we moved into our North Carolina home. We celebrated by unpacking our books! Kristina finally feels at home, after being without access to her books for almost two years!
This year was filled with joys and challenges in ministry. Daniel is still pastoring churches in Salisbury and Concord. He also preached a five-week evangelistic series in three locations this year! Ancient Worlds of the Bible is a series that Daniel created from his own photos and videos of Israel, using them as a springboard to teach the great truths of Scripture. The most exciting part was baptizing five precious souls this year who publicly committed their lives to God!

Kristina is still studying for a Master’s in Ministry degree. She took five week-long intensive classes this year in Maryland and Michigan. The remainder of the school year was filled with reading assignments and papers to write. She was grateful to recently complete her last class assignment for this semester, and she looks forward to the next term beginning in January!
A highlight for both of us was a week-long Reformation tour through England and Scotland in June with forty other pastors and spouses from the Carolina Conference. This was a momentous experience for Kristina, as it was her first time traveling outside North America! In London, we visited the British Museum, the Tower of London, Hampton Court Palace, and landmarks including Big Ben, Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace. Reformation stops included John Wesley’s chapel, the home of C. S. Lewis, and the graves of John Bunyan and Isaac Watts. We found a monument to John Wycliffe, the “morning star of the reformation,” and experienced an evensong at Westminster Abbey.

Along our journey, we worshiped at Newbold College, paused at the Martyr’s Monument in Oxford, and spent a night at an old monastery called Coombe Abbey. In Scotland, we took a ferry to the Island of Iona–the birthplace of Scottish Christianity. We played putt putt golf at the birthplace of golf, saw the ruins of the St. Andrews Cathedral, climbed up to the Edinburgh Castle, and walked the halls of John Knox’s chapel. It was sobering to stand at many places where martyrs sealed their testimony with their blood. We returned home with a deeper appreciation for the Bible and with inspiration to carry the torch that those faithful pioneers have left behind. We also brought back a newfound love for English breakfasts–vegan style! Kristina loves to fix homemade English baked beans, scrambled tofu, roasted potatoes, sauteed mushrooms, and warm tomatoes for breakfast at least once a week!

We celebrated Kristina’s 42nd birthday with a camping trip to our beloved Laurel Lake in Kentucky. We were joined by Daniel’s mom, his brother Andrew, and many of our Kentucky friends and family. It was so nice to spend time with everyone! The weather was perfect for canoeing, watching the sunrise, and swimming in the clear water. Kristina enjoyed being the camp cook!
(See Krisitna’s Birthday Video below–she wrote the song with some help from AI)
Other excursions this year included a quick trip to Kentucky for Daniel’s mom’s birthday, and again later for a wedding. In January, Daniel flew to Kansas City for a baptism. In February, Kristina flew out west to visit her mother, step-dad, and grandmother. She also visited her great uncle Lyn and aunt Janet, cousins Katie and Karen, and her step-sister’s family. From there, she flew to Michigan for her uncle Derral’s funeral. She was so grateful to be with family! We camped at Lake Junalesca for a rainy week of campmeeting, but it was still beautiful! In October, we enjoyed a short camping trip to Devils’ Fork state park in South Carolina. Although it rained for 36 hours straight, we were rewarded with beautiful views of Jocassee Lake, Whitewater Falls, and gorgeous fall colors. The following week, our Concord church family joined us for a campout at Morrow Mountain. We loved waking up early each morning and watching the sunrise from the canoe on Lake Tillery!

Daniel still enjoys his high-tech hobbies: flying his drone, taking videos and photos, experimenting with artificial intelligence and writing computer programs. His latest projects have centered around the Virtual Bible Snapshot Project, which currently hosts more than 10,000 free Bible resources. He’s also writing a program, the REVELation Snapshot Presenter, to put these images and videos, Bible texts, song lyrics, and other simple slides on the screen. You can learn more about the project at snapshots.vrbm.org
Kristina hasn’t lost her enthusiasm for cooking. Before each of the Ancient Worlds series, she taught cooking classes: some at the church locations and one at the local YMCA. Each class had a great turnout! She also helped with a Health Expo put on by the Salisbury church members. Kristina loves cooking for home, work, church dinners, and she still enjoys inventing new recipes.
We planted spring, summer and fall gardens this year–in three small raised garden beds that Daniel installed in our backyard. It was so wonderful to enjoy fresh greens, okra, tomatoes, carrots, beets, and fresh basil from our own garden! It also coordinated nicely with our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) subscription from a local farm, which provided a box of fresh veggies each week.

We love having company and our home has not been empty! We had a student teacher intern stay in our home for 6 months, and after he left, another student intern stayed for the summer! We have enjoyed visits from Daniel’s family, missionary families on furlough, Kristina’s Aunt Barbara, and other friends who have brought us so much joy! Our home was full of company for Thanksgiving and Christmas last year and will be again this year. We hope you plan to visit us too!
As 2025 draws to a close and 2026 is right around the corner, we ponder our experience on the Reformation tour. Our trials are so small in comparison to those who gave their lives that we could freely receive the gospel of Jesus. How often do we take our freedom for granted? We may be called to testify for Christ just as they did! We also think of Christ who chose to give up his heavenly home in exchange for a manger bed, a life of toil, and a death on the cross for you and for me. Will you choose to give your life fully to Jesus–no matter the cost? Nothing you give would be more than what He gave for you. And He has promised a rich reward in His eternal kingdom! What is your answer today?
May the Lord bless you and keep you! You are in our thoughts and prayers often. We appreciate every card and letter that we receive–and visits in person are even better!
Love and Hugs,
Daniel & Kristina McFeeters
